Lawless: The Bunker set to delivers great day of comics today

Don’t miss Lawless: The Bunker online today, Saturday 15th May 2021, which features a smashing line-up of comic related panels with comic creators and more.

As part of this free virtual event, at 12 noon Tony Foster of Comic Scene hosts “History of British Comics” with me, John Freeman, in my capacity as publisher of downthetubes.net, Steve Holland of Bear Alley Books, Paul Gravett (and of Great British Comics and more) artist and artist David Roach (author of Masters of British Comic Art).

The event kicks off with a colouring panel with ace artist John Charles at 10.00am and events include appearances by The77 and Blazer comic teams, and an interview with 2000AD founder Pat Mills and artist Ian Kennedy.

There will also be a dedicated panel on independent comic Sentinel, led by creators Alan Holloway and Ed Doyle.

At 7.00pm Lawless will be teaming up with The77 comic to Raise A Glass To Our Fallen. This is a community wide Zoom Call that everyone’s invited to, in order to pay tribute to Dave Evans and Colin Noble and the friends and creators we’ve lost in recent years. “We can’t all get together at the bar this year,” says event organiser Sue Haddrell, “but hopefully you can join us online for a chat and a catch up and to raise a glass.”
