Excalibur Auctions is a family-owned auction house established in February 2016 by husband and wife Jonathan and Sarah Torode, which runs frequent auctions of interest to downthetubes readers, including comics, movie collectibles and more.

They’ve been running successful comic auctions since January 2019, after entering the marketplace with a fairly large ‘Kapow’ with some key titles including an Amazing Fantasy #15, featuring Spider-Man’s first appearance, which sold for a staggering £17,900 (including Buyers Premium).
“This is an area in which we have continually surpassed market expectations,” say the team, “priding ourselves on our cataloguing and photographing to give all buyers worldwide the confidence to buy.”

Their next Vintage Toys and Model Railways Auction is on 29th May and all being well, will be held in-person. On offer will be a huge collection of Dinky and Corgi toys available including Batmobiles, James Bond Aston Martins and Thunderbirds consignments.
