Mad Robot Comics final issue of their brilliant War of the Worlds-inspired title Thunder Child has hit its target, and support is growing by the day.

Writers Rob Jones and Matthew Hardy, artist Kevin Castaniero and colourist Simon Gough pull out all the stops in this fantastic SF thriller inspired by HG Wells’ classic novel.
The crew of the HMS Thunder Child have been through hell – but now they face certain doom against the fearsome might of the Martian War Machines.
Over issues so far, we’ve followed the crew from the confusion and mystery of the early moments of the Martian invasion, through to the last gasps of a dying Empire in war-torn London, and now, they sally forth to a date with
destiny on the Black Water.

Issue Three of Thunder Child is now funding on Kickstarter, which looks as stunning as the first two issues, is well into stretch-goal territory. A print by Martin Simmonds has been unlocked for all physical backers, and there are
rewards that will never ever be produced again for the discerning fan of H.G Wells.
So, jump on board if you dare…

Kevin Castaniero (Artist) is a freelance illustrator hailing from sunny California. With a few comics under his belt (Grit, You’ve been Cancelled) he spends most of his day watching Heat on repeat and drawing cantankerous old men. Going by the moniker of COUNTPAGAN, check out his work on Instagram. If you happen to come across that moniker online in a video game give him a friendly wave and please don’t shoot him.
Simon Gough is a colourist based out of Brighton. When he’s not sunning his pale body amidst the tourists on Brighton’s sunny shores (which is actually never), he can be found either in the kitchen as he slaves away to fend off his children’s appetites, or he can be found head down in his tiny office as he battles away at reigning in Photoshops wayward tendencies. Simon has been working as a colourist for almost 15 years now, with credits at most major publishers, on titles ranging from Batman at DC, Ringside at Image, through to G.I Joe and other properties over at IDW. Simon also has several of his creator owned projects such as Tales Told in Techni-Horror, Provenance of Madness, and Provenance of Secrets, all available in good comic book stores through Black Caravan.
