Artist Andrew Skilleter has released the first of a number of projects involving his work which are being published this year. Celebration – The USA Tour is available now from Who Dares Publishing, a limited edition release of work created for the legendary 1986 Doctor Who Exhibition Tour of North America.
This Limited Edition of only 100 items comprises a bumper 24-page exclusive full colour brochure, featuring full length text by former BBC Exhibition’s staffer Julie Jones, together with Andrew’s artwork and numerous rare and unseen colour photos from private collections.
Also included are four large format A4 size double sided cards, and a completely new and never released USA Tour Bookmark; an exclusive retro-style Autograph Card of Julie Jones (which has been released before), all presented inside a striking laminated full colour folder.
Best known for his professional association with Doctor Who from 1979 to 1995 and in particular his covers for the legendary Target Books novelisations, Andrew Skilleter continued illustrating Doctor Who for Virgin Publishing, the BBC and more recently for Race Point Publishing USA.
He relaunched Who Dares Publishing late in 2016 and also self-publishes a range of Doctor Who related merchandise based around his own art.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
