Macc-Pow! returns to Macclesfield next month, and in a major coup for the long-running Comic Art Festival events will include the world premiere of OiNK! A Short Tail, on Saturday 27th June at Cinemac Macclesfield, released, in part, to mark the much loved, much-missed comic’s fortieth anniversary.

OiNK! The Documentary is a new film by Claire Bend and Rob Reed for Bread and Butter Films, looking at the creation, life and legacy of the hugely influential, cult British comic OiNK! It explores the story of the still British humour comic, published between 1986 and 1988, still praised for its innovation which met its end with a merger with Buster.
Featuring interviews with key creators involved, and lifelong fans, including Phil Boyce, publisher of the awesome Oink! Blog, the documentary delves deep into the pig-pen and covers you in sensational swill…
Post screening, there will be a Q&A and drinks with the filmmakers and contributors from the film hosted by Panel Borders radio show host and producer, Alex Fitch.
Admission to the Premiere of this PG certificate film is free, no pre booking required.

His debut no-budget comedy feature Down The Road was released on Amazon through a partnership with MY Productions and his short film Mark & Alan screened at both the 2014 London Short Film Festival and Aesthetica Film Festival.
Now freelance, Rob continues to produce a variety of film work alongside producing content for a range of clients, film festivals and charities. His short documentary, An Artist’s Story: The Past, The Present & The Future, a collaboration with the artist Emma Tweedie, screened as part of the 2019 Manchester International Film Festival.
His second feature, A Weekend Away, which was written, improvised and shot over five days in rural Wales won the ‘Best Feature’ at the Oxford Film Festival, released through Bread & Butter Films, is now available to stream on Amazon Prime and Tubi.
