Here’s something very unexpected coming up for auction at Heritage Auctions next month – a classic piece of vintage Ron Turner book cover art from the 1950s.

Needless to say, original book cover art by “The Daleks” and “Space Ace” artist Ron doesn’t come to market very often. This cover for The Extra Man by Charles Grey (the pseudonym of E.C. Tubb), published by Milestone Books in 1954, is pretty stunning.
Acrylic on board, this unsigned work measures 17.25 x 12.75 inches and is from just one item from The Glynn and Suzanne Crain Collection Auction 13th – 14th August 2019.
Other items in the auction include work by James Allen, John Conrad Berkey, Virgil Finlay, Kelly Freas, Mark Schultz, Kris Vallejo, Wally Wood, Bernie Wrightson and many other amazing artists.
