The talented team behind the wondrous Doctor Who-inspired comic zine Vworp Vworp! began teasing the incoming arrival of Issue 6 later this month by revealing Jeff Cummins cover featuring the First Doctor.
Now they’ve released the second of three covers, this TARDIS scene featuring the First Doctor and grand daughter Susan.
This will be a wraparound cover, the work of Colin Brockhurst, the zine’s editor and designer, and artist, comic colourist, animator, designer and television historian Andrew Orton.
Offering a staggering 180 pages celebrating the 60th anniversary of the show and its many comic and other fiction spin-offs, you will not want to miss it.
As well as the illuminating articles and comic strips you’ve come to expect, Vworp Vworp! Issue Six includes lengthy interviews with actress Carole Ann Ford; actor, writer and comedian Mark Gatiss; and television composer and sound technician Brian Hodgson, the original sound effects creator for Doctor Who.
Plus, there’s a chat with retired British television producer Clive Doig, interviewed by Phil Newman, who worked as a vision mixer for the BBC, on Doctor Who, and produced the series for deaf children Vision On before becoming known as the creator-producer of a large number of children’s programmes.
You’ll be able to preorder Vworp Vworp! Issue Six very soon – just keep an eye on the project’s social feeds for details.
