To celebrate 30 years of the Celtic barbarian and the release of Sláine: Book of Scars on 7th November, the 2000AD team are posting some of Sláine’s greatest covers from the past three decades on their social media feeds, such as Google+, Facebook and tumblr – although the latter is also being used to post some great Hallowe’en-inspired imagery from the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic
Today, it’s the turn of Mike Collins from Prog 493.
The special 30th anniversary book, Sláine: Book of Scars, with an afterword by Graham Linehan is available to pre-order now from the 2000AD online store, online and physical books shops across the UK.
Marking 30 years of the Celtic barbarian’s adventures, this special anniversary book brings together a sequence of new stories from creator Pat Mills and the biggest artists to have worked on Sláine over the past three decades.
This hardback volume also includes The Art of Slaine, a retrospective of Sláine covers and commentary. A great collector’s item and not to be missed by fans of great storytelling, art and warp spasms everywhere…
