Sneak Peek: Third Testament Volume Three (Titan Comics)

The Third Testament Volume 3: The Might Of The Ox, written by Alex Alice & Xavier Dorison with art by Alex Alice goes on sale from Titan Comics on Wednesday 18th March in all good comic shops – and we have a sneak peek for you…

Conrad of Marburg, Elisabeth, and their rakish guide, Trevor, are locked in the dungeons of Stornwall, while their enemies race towards the Third Testament, a mysterious relic whose power can change the course of the world…

Will Conrad and Elisabeth be able to escape and reach the Third Testament to stop the fulfilment of its deathly prophecy?

Xavier Dorison devoted his spare time to write the Third Testament, published by Glenat in French, and other titles while he worked at Barclays. The success of Thurd Testament was followed by two other projects for Humanoids: Prophet and Sanctuary. he says he is inspired by the work of Stephen King, Michael Crichton and Jean Van Hamme.

Alex Alice developed an early passion for both animation and comics. While undergoing training at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, he developed numerous graphic narrative projects, meeting Xavier Dorison – and work on The Third Testament began.

Alex graduated from ESCP Europe in 1997, when the pair managed to convince Glénat to publish their story. Largely influenced by Umberto Eco, The Third Testament quickly became a success and announces the wave esoteric thrillers to mark the millennium.

The Third Testament was completed in 2003 with a fourth album, whereupon Alex moved on to work on Siegfried (published by Dargaud), a new interpretation of the work of the tetralogy Der Ring des Nibelungen by Richard Wagner, in the form of a trilogy and a great animated film.

The first volume in this series was published in late 2007, quickly followed by the second, Siegfried II: Die Walküre in 2009.
