Watch out for appearances by Beano artists and Stephen Butler, the author of the Diary of Dennis the Menace, at your local INTU shopping centre if you have one nearby.
A Dennis the Menace summer promotion has just kicked off across the country and the mischievous tyke will be visiting INTU shopping in a high profile campaign that will see the launch of a bespoke edition of The Beano as part of tour visits.
Fans of the comic are being urged to up a free exclusive INTU copy of the Beano at the “Classroom of Chaos” or send us pictures of your little Menace to enter the #MyMenace competition on Facebook
Music stores are also supporting the promotion by featuring The Beano branded Real Musical Instrument Range from JHS, who are running a Beano sales promotion of 15 per cent off when buying one of each instrument or more as well as offering dealers the chance to win a Beano electric guitar by sending in a photo of their Beano shop display.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
