Tripwire Awards results will be announced at a physical ceremony in London later in August

2021 sees the third Tripwire Awards, celebrating the best in UK and US comic talent. With voting now closed, here’s a quick reminder that the long-running magazine is to host a physical ceremony on Thursday 26th August to announce the winners, at the Cartoon Museum in London.

Hosted by The Convention Collective’s Leonard Sultana, the awards will announce the winners of categories like Best Writer, Best Artist, Best Publisher and more. The ceremony will also give away a selection of top graphic novels to the attendees from the likes of Marvel, IDW and Dark Horse as well as beer, wine and snacks.

Many of the winners will be present at the ceremony to accept their awards while others will be accepting them via zoom or video link.

“The London Cartoon Museum is the perfect location for our event as it’s the home of comics in London ,” says the magazine’s editor, Joel Meadows.

As downthetubes is among the nominees, we‘re obviously looking forward to finding out the results!
