Following up on our post earlier this week about Modesty Blaise comic strips up for auction this weekend for charity, we came across this limited edition item that fans of the popular adventure strip created by Peter O’ Donnell for the Evening Standard may love.
First released back in 2016, it’s a limited edition original Modesty Blaise statue/bust, handmade in Sweden/Lithuania. Only 500 copies were created, the likeness based on original artist Jim Holdaway‘s take Modesty Blaise.
Sculptured for specialist web site ComicArt.DK by a professional artist and each piece is uniquely moulded and coloured, weiging in at 1 kg, and 20 cm high, created in a resistant acrylic composite mixed with stone powder.
The statue was officially approved by the license holders and is delivered with a special designed box and authenticity certificate with specs and a unique serial number from #1 to 500.
The sculpture comes in two versions, one in marmor white and the other in super realistic multilayered airbrush colours.
Situated in Copenhagen Østerbro, not far from the city centre, Comicart.dk is the first, the largest – and the only – Danish online shop and art gallery, trading and selling international original comic art. It features art by more than 270 artists online and in the gallery.
• Costing just over €300, you can order it here on ComicArt.DK
