We recently came across a great resource that should be implemented elsewhere (do let us know if your country has a similar project). The Australian Comics & Graphic Novels Database for Libraries lists Australian comics and graphic novels that are available to be ordered by Australian libraries, and works that are either created by Australian creators, partially or in its entirety.

The database was created to introduce more Australian-made graphic novels to libraries/schools, helped by festivals like the Comic Con-versation Library Festival (CCV) and the ALIA Graphic Novels and Comics group.
This database includes library recommended comics from its ALIA Graphic Novels and Comics website.
• If you’re interested in reading about comics publishing in Australia in the past, AusReprints documents Australian comics, focusing on the neglected reprints from the 1940s to the 1980s. The site has been developed with generous contributions of scans and information from many collectors. Click here for information on how you can help.
• The art featured in this item, utilised by the Australian Comics & Graphic Novels Database for Libraries project creators on their web site, is by Queenie Chan, created for the strip, “Friend or Fiend: the Story of Ember“, which was written by Steve Carter and Antoinette Rydyr (SCAR), which was included in the Australia Burnsanthology, released in 2020, available here.
