Anderson & Garland‘s next Collectors’ Auction takes place next week (Thursday 30th June 2022) and includes a number of British and US comic lots, many of them of interest, perhaps to fans of western comics – but there are other items, too, including Star Wars and Gerry Anderson TV show-related toys.
The auction is a firm favourite with specialist collectors and enthusiasts alike, featuring comics, toys, costume, film memorabilia, advertising memorabilia and more – a catalogue that has something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Established in 1840, Anderson & Garland are the leading firm of Auctioneers and Valuers in the North of England & Scottish Borders and one of the largest independent auction houses in the UK.
Their next dedicated Comics Auction takes place in September.
The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Star Trek Explorer (previously known as Star Trek Magazine) and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of "Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies" for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
