Hot on the heels of a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, which finished last weekend with more than double their original funding goal, Wild River Comics are coming to MCM London Comic Con with convention exclusive copies of their
freshly printed debut title, Daughters of Albion #1, featuring a cover by Jeff Spokes.
Co-created by Denis Phan and Trevor Jayakody, with art by Matt Timson, as we previously reported, Daughters of Albion introduces readers to an alternate London where magic and technology co-exist. When cyberpunk hacker Hashani discovers a magical amulet dropped by two strange beings, she and her friends start to uncover the mysteries of Albion, which has been simmering beneath the surface all along.
To celebrate the launch of the title and to distinguish it from the Kickstarter exclusive versions of the comic, this convention exclusive edition will feature a brand new cover by fan-favourite artist, Jeff Spokes.
Attendees have the choice between two convention packages – for £10 they can get the comic with two limited-edition prints and a Wild River Comics tote bag, or for £20 they can get all of that plus an extra three limited-edition prints featuring art by Junggeon Yoon, Piotr Kowalski, and Simon ‘Pye’ Parr.
Artist Matt Timson will be at the Wild River Comics booth (S940) throughout the
convention, alongside co-creator Trevor Jayakody and editor Martin Eden, so fans can get their copies of the book signed.
