PSYComics unleashes its third publication, Madness & Monsters, written by Laurence Alison, drawn by various artists including Vu Danh and David Hitchcock, on Saturday 11th January 2025, via Kickstarter.
Hot on the heels of Warfighter and Out There, the British independent comic publisher tell us Madness & Monsters is their grandest book so far, running to a startling 132 pages, A4 sized with an optional hardback edition.
In line with PSYComics two-fold aim of telling incredible stories and giving them genuine psychological depth, Madness & Monsters is their first anthology to create an entire new fantasy world. Within it are sin eating spirit dogs, clockwork vicious magpies, monstrous sea creatures, heroic crews of men and women seeking to feed and protect their communities, torturers who are trying to extract information, songbirds that are also undercover agents and predatory granny eating wolves.
Covering a 1000-year span of this world’s ice caps, oceans, forest and cities Madness & Monsters is a thing of deep horror… and beauty!
Writer Laurence Alison is an internationally recognised forensic psychologist who has worked on critical incidents for decades. His stories for this collection will be illustrated by a talented lineup of artists with diverse styles – Vu Danh, an up and coming artist from Vietnam, Kamila Krol, Nanami Takeuchi, David Hitchcock, Tiffany Baxter, with additional spot illustrations by Ess Kaydee, Luke Copsey, and Steve White.
Together with a sneak peek of Simon Harrison’s forthcoming “Circe”, Madness & Monsters promises to be the most audacious and bold of PSYComic’s publications so far.
Additional rewards include a rare opportunity to purchase orginal art by Vu Danh, as well Ess Kaydee’s A3 fully inked rendition of “The Insanity”. PSYComics T-Shirts are also available.
