Wrapped in a great cover by “Grey Area”: artist Mark Harrison (more on that here), 2000AD Prog 2125 is on sale now in all good UK newsagents, comics shops and digital platforms.
Right from the get go, this is a terrific issue of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, with Rob Williams working hand in hand with artist Chris Weston on a script that concludes the all-action “Judge Dredd” two-part tale, “Unearthed”, that has its origins in the Apocalypse War. It’s a great short story that hits right at the heart of Dredd’s character, with terrific art from Patrick Goddard.
There other strips are that are on fire right now, too – “Kingmaker” and “Grey Area” will appeal to action lovers, but I really like “Survival Geeks”, with Neil Googe’s art the perfect complement to a savvy strip ribbing the whole AD&D gaming schtick. Plus, we get Dan Cornwell having fun with Guy Adams “Max Normal” tale, too.
All in all, a smashing combination of adventure, humour and all out thrills. Thinsg are on a roll – and no, I’m not talking about a D20!
