British specialist publisher Book Palace is to publish an update to its hugely-successful Modesty Blaise Companion later this year, with additional pages, as a limited edition.
The first edition of their Companion published in 2005 sold out very quickly and now sells at high premiums on the secondary market. Fans have been clamouring for a updated edition and The Modesty Blaise Companion Expanded Edition will be released in December, in a very limited special soft cover edition.

Strips missing from the Titan Books collections are included in this new Modesty Blaise Companion
The Modesty Blaise Companion Expanded Edition features a new introduction and obituary of Peter O’Donnell by Laurence Blackmore, plus new features not in the first edition.
These are a full index of the Titan Books reprints, reproductions of nine missing strips not appearing in the Titan Books, details of the three radio plays adaptations and information on the DVD In the Beginning produced by Quentin Tarantino.
Everything you could possibly want to know about Peter O’Donnell‘s classic creation, Modesty Blaise, from novels to newspaper strips, with full story outlines, over 2,000 character descriptions, over 1800 illustrations by Jim Holdaway, Enric Romero, John M Burns, Neville Colvin and Patrick Wright, plus the original Souvenir Press book covers. Includes the origin story “In the Beginning”, a strip by Jim Holdaway, one he created especially for newspapers who were just taking up the strip as an introduction for their readers.
The Modesty Blaise Companion Expanded Edition (Limited Edition) will be on sale from Book Palace in December. Only 500 copies will be available.
