This Is Animal Jam magazine Issue One - Cover

DCT Media and WildWorks are celebrating the release of This Is Animal Jam magazine, in a deal brokered by UK agent Rockpool Licensing.

Now on sale in the UK, and available through Barnes and Noble in the United States, the magazine – another release in DC Thomson’s “This Is” line – is based on the number one social online game world with over 59 million worldwide registered users, many of them girls aged eight to 12. There are over six million users in the UK and Ireland alone.

The magazine is filled with insider tips, a Jammer name generator, games and puzzles as well as facts about the natural world, and ToyBroadway have published a guide to the first issue over on YouTube.

The bumper selection of covermounts includes an exclusive in-game code and Centum Books Call of The Alphas taster story book.

Many of the This is the Animal Jam licensees – Gemma, Winning Moves, Dreamtex and Jazwares – have provided competition prizes for the first issue.

“DCT Media has done an amazing job with This Is Animal Jam,” said Vickie O’Malley, MD of Rockpool Licensing. “We have been partners with Sweet magazine for the last couple of years and we are thrilled that readers have been asking for an AJ stand-alone read.

“DCT has put all of their experience and passion for Animal Jam into the project and they should be very proud of the result.”

“It has been a pleasure to work with WildWorks to create a magazine we can all be truly thrilled with,” adds Sian Dolan, editor of This Is Animal Jam and Sweet magazine.

“We wanted to come up with an engaging publication that ticked all the boxes for Animal Jam fans – packed with activities, exclusive tips, fascinating facts and so much more – and we think we have done just that.”

• On sale in all good newsagents and supermarkets in the UK, and through Barnes and Noble in the US, This is Animal Jam is also available from the DC Thomson web shop here
