Anderson Entertainment has opened orders for its first Stingray comic anthology, offering a mix of classic and new strips based on the Supermarionation series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.
The Stingray Comic Anthology Volume One – Tales from the Depths anthology not only collects three thrilling years of TV Century 21 comic strips published from 1965 to 1967, accompanied by in-depth articles which detail the history of Stingray, but also features five brand-new Stingray stories – part of the cross media “Stingray Deadly Uprising” saga celebrating the 60th anniversary of the series.
The classic comic strips, illustrated by legendary artists such as Ron Embleton, Michael Strand and Jon Davis, will plunge you back into the pulse-pounding aquatic adventures of Captain Troy Tempest, Lieutenant George “Phones” Sheridan and the mysterious Marina. Experience thrilling confrontations with monstrous sea creatures, alien-induced climate chaos and deadly underwater espionage as these iconic characters battle for survival beneath the waves.
The “Stingray” strip’s final year in TV Century 21 will be collected later in the year, in Stingray Comic Anthology Volume Two – Battle Lines, along with just about every other classic Stingray comic ever made.
In addition to the TV Century 21 strips, this volume’s new stories – written by top talents James Swallow, Ian Edginton, Chris Thompson, Jack Knoll and Ben Wolf Page – have been brought vividly to life by renowned artists Brian Williamson, Keith Burns, Matt Brooker, John McCrea and Lee Sullivan. The tales stand alone as exhilarating underwater adventures, each featuring a different undersea race – some familiar from the television series others entirely new, and also link together to form a larger narrative culminating in a dramatic cliffhanger where Stingray unwittingly plays into Titan’s sinister plans, forging a powerful alliance of oceanic adversaries.
“Don’t miss your chance to own this beautifully curated first volume packed with nostalgia and fresh stories for a new generation,” say Anderson Entertainment. “Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the world of Stingray, this anthology is the perfect addition to your collection. Grab your copy today and immerse yourself in these electrifying undersea adventures!”
Stingray Comic Anthology Volume One – Tales from the Depths, expected to be published at the end of September, is available to preorder here. Stingray Comic Anthology Volume Two – Battle Lines is scheduled for release at the end of the year.
