HG Wells SF alien invasion The War of the Worlds has been re-visited, adapted and updated many times in comics, perhaps most notably in recent years in Scarlet Traces, by Ian Edginton and D’Israeli, now published by 2000AD. Now, Aaron Moran returns to the original story, in an adaptation recently published by Markosia – and we have some great pages from the project to share.

In the story, ruthless invaders from a dying Mars attack, wipe out and even feed on the people of Earth. With much superior machines and cold emotionless minds, they plan to make our planet theirs. As humankind faces extinction, can they reclaim the Earth – and at what horrible cost?
The War of the Worlds, H.G. Wells’ all time classic science fiction story comes to life in this fully painted epic adaptation, adapted and illustrated by Aaron Moran, a writer and artist who works in comics, children’s books and fine art.
Aaron’s other work includes Snorp’s Adventure for children, written by Thomas Morgan, released last year, and the extreme surreal horror Bride of the Ripper, also published by Markosia.
