Judge Dredd Megazine revamped, 2000AD surges on

There’s thrills old and new, and some spruce ups, too, on Rebellion’s lead newsstand titles, 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine.

“Judge Dredd”, “Silver”, “Ghosted” and “Chimpsky’s Law” surge forward in their respective plotlines in this week’s 2000AD (Prog 2428), while the current “Nu Earth War Tale”, “Nu Romance”, paving the way for a new Rogue Trooper story, “Tides of War” next week, by Andi Ewington and Paul Marshall.

Plus, Judge Dredd Megazine Issue 479 – which celebrates its 35th anniversary in the autumn – is out this week too, and there’s a bunch of new series to launch
into. Cadet Dredd investigates “The Haunting of Iso-Block 8” by Paul Starkey and Nick Brokenshire; Brit-Cit Detective Judge Armitage has another cold case to untangle in “Murder. Setting: Automated, Express” by Liam Johnson and Warren Pleece; and space pirates Barrel and Hammer make their debut, courtesy of David Barnett and Luke Horsman.

The Megazine has had a format overhaul its page count reduced from 128- to 96-pages, in order to refocus exclusively on new material. The £6.99 cover price ($12.99 US) remains unchanged.
