Author and comics writer Alan Cowsill recently launched a new podcast, Last Geek in Space – and his latest interviewee is award-winning comics writer and editor Jason Quinn.
Jason Quinn learned to read with comic books, and while most kids in his school dreamed of becoming astronauts or firemen, he always wanted to work in comics. He has worked in television, radio and publishing and has written for such characters as Spider-Man, Ben 10, and the Incredible Hulk. His books include his award-winning graphic novel Steve Jobs: Genius by Design and The Beatles: All Our Yesterdays, both published by Campfire Books.
Jason talks to Alan about his time at Marvel UK, Panini Comics UK and Campfire Books, while selecting the comics and artwork he’d take with him when he’s blasted into space.
Launched just last month, Alan, who also worked at Marvel UK, makes no bones about his podcast focusing on fellow creators at the company. So far, he’s also chatted with writer and artist Nick Abadzis, artist and film maker Kev Hopgood, writer, artist and editor David Leach and writer, editor and publisher Tim Quinn.
