S.M.A.S.H. is a one-day all ages event at the Barbican Library on Saturday 7th November, produced in association with CityRead, Comica and the London Graphic Novel Network.
The event has a great line up of creators, including author and comics writer Ben Aaronovitch (creator of the Rivers of London saga), Guardian cartoonist Steven Appleby (Guide to Life), Karrie Fransman (Death of the Artist), Paul Gravett (Comics Unmasked), David Hine (The Bulletproof Coffin) and Frazer Irving (Batman).
Hosted by Joel Janiurek (Barbican Comic Forum), the event is aimed at graphic novel and comic book fans (as well as those curious to find out more) S.M.A.SH is an exciting and informative exploration of the past, present and future of a medium that encompasses every aspect of human experience (and beyond!).
This event will take the form of three panels – each tackling a different subject: Criticism, Stories and Adaptation.
The London Graphic Novel Network is a community devoted to spreading the word about the various book-groups and events in London’s libraries (and beyond) and connecting people with an interest in graphic novels/comic books.
