Marvel has released a preview of Revolutionary War #3: Knights of Pendragon (Warning! Potential spoilers in the art below), written by Rob Williams with Irish artist Will Sliney, on art – replacing Simon Coleby, who was the advertised artist in early solicits for the series. Sliney’s recent credits include Fearless Defenders and Superior Spider-Man Team-Up for Marvel. The variant cover on the issue is provided by Neil Edwards, Terry Pallot and Ruth Redmond
Ruth Redmond provided the stunning colour work on the second issue of Revolutionary War, Dark Angel #1, her first Marvel commission. “Dark Angel’s original first issue came out in 1992 (back when she was still called Hell’s Angel), the same year I was born!” Ruth notes on her tumblr. “I think it’s kinda cool that her relaunch is occurring in my debut year as a comic book colourist.”
If you’re in Cork, Ireland on 1st February 2014, then you might be interested in popping along to The Oliver Plunkett, 116 Oliver Plunkett Street, at 4.00pm, where Big Bang Comics are celebrating the release of Knights of Pendragon #1 with a launch party and signing by Will and Ruth. Other confirmed guests on will be PJ Holden, Stephen Mooney and another Revolutionary War artist, Nick Roche. The first 100 people in the queue will get an exclusive print by Will.
