First published as a signed Collector’s Edition costing £1750 a copy, that sold out within a week, Taschen’s Stan Lee Story is now available as an unlimited XXL edition, priced a tad more modestly.
An unparalleled account of the life and times of Stan Lee, written and edited with the Godfather of comics himself. His story is told by Roy Thomas, who brings “you are there” insights to Lee’s journey alongside never-before-seen photographs, original comic art, and rare comicbook facsimiles to trace Stan’s dizzying career and his unstoppable influence on pop culture worldwide.
This Giant-Size tome, previously released as a signed Limited Edition, tracks the story of the Marvel Universe he built, working with many others, and the creative passion that led him to pursuits beyond his earliest imaginings.
• The Stan Lee Story XXL Edition is available from all good book shops from 18th May, priced £150 on the Taschen web site but at £97.50 on Amazon
