This week web comic creator Sian Jefferson joins Dan Butcher, Tony Esmond and Vince Hunt on the Awesome Comics Podcast, to talk about the fabulous The Book of Fey, her influences, the task of writing fantasy comics and her own journey into making comics.
There’s lots of great talk about creating and hosting webcomics, interacting with that audience, ‘secret’ projects and the merits (or lack of) of the film Cockneys vs Zombies. Also, Sian reveals her opinions on noses, Vince busts out Carry On film noises, Dan doesn’t heed his own advice and Tony keeps trying to drop bad jokes into the show.
Plus – this episode we announce the first casualties in the first ever Awesome Games! Who will survive? Well the answers may surprise you and you’ll just have to listen to find out!
Mentioned in this episode are: Sian Jefferson, The Book of Fey, Sian’s Tumblr, Patience, Daniel Clowes, The Poor Bastard, Joe Matt, Rising Sand, Ty Dunitz, Jenn Lee, Hark! A Vagrant, Kate Beaton, The Heart of Time, Sarah Millman, Back Issue Magazine, Spying with Lana, Creature Tech, Heroes Run 2016, Pipedream Comics, A Place to Hang Your Cape, Down the Tubes
