Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons Metal Toy Lone Star 1960s in Reproduction Box. An original metal toy from the 1960s, produced by Lone Star. It measures approx 185 x 115 x 20 mm and has vibrant colours. It originally fired caps. The trigger mechanism still works and the top flips out to re-load, should you wish. Untested.

George and Lynn Original Comic Art, by Josep Gual for The Sun newspaper, from the collection of artist David Roach, published sometime in the early 2000s, it is believed, but it’s not dated.
A rare promotional poster for the weekly comic, Lion. This single sided poster, measuring 30 x 20 inches (76 x 51 cm), was produced by the Amalgamated Press to promote two free gifts given away in 1952. The “Air Wonders” booklet was gifted with No. 31, cover dated 20th September 1952, whilst the “Scientific Wonders” booklet was given away the following week, with No. 32, cover dated 27th September 1952. These went on sale five days before the printed cover date, 15th September and 22nd respectively, as you can see with the printed dates on the poster. Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine and Overkill for Marvel UK, Babylon 5 Magazine, Star Trek Magazine, and its successor, Star Trek Explorer, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics; and has edited several comic collections and graphic novels, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”, and Hancock: The Lad Himself, by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page.
He’s the writer of comics such as Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs”, with Dave Hailwood.
