Crime, Fantasy and Weird Work! Latest Lakes Festival Podcast is a Comics Genre Cup Final

Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast Episode 88 - Comics Genre Cup Final with Jordan Thomas

The latest episode of the Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast (Episode 88) features the final episode of the Comics Genre World Cup with Mike Williams and Pete Taylor. To close this mammoth series down, they’re joined by writer Jordan Thomas, as they discuss the genres Crime vs Horror and Fantasy vs Superheroes.

Jordan is the writer of Frank at Home on the Farm, drawn by Clark Bint, published by Scout Comics, – a period, body-horror, mystery that tells the story of a man returning from the World War One to find his family mysteriously missing. This sets in motion a series of events that claw and tear at Frank’s mind, body, and soul.

Weird Work by Jordan Thomas and Shaky Kane

He’s also working with Shaky Kane on a new crowdfunded project, Weird Work, which launched on Kickstarter soon, which Jordan pitches as “LA Confidential meets Futurama“! Sounds intriguing…

Tom Stewart is also on hand to review The Misadventures of Spring Heeled Jack issue 2 by Tom Sparke.
