
Vintage Rare Mego Batman and Robin 12 1/2 inch action figures in original boxes
The next Toy & Model Railway Auction from Dudley-based Aston’s Auctioneers next Tuesday (26th March 2019) has a great assortment of items on offer including collectables that will appeal to Doctor Who, Star Trek and Superhero fans… and more.
The auction also features the entire remaining stock of the retail website www.sci-fi.co.uk – under the hammer due to retirement.
Also going under the hammer are two gigantic collections of diecast model vehicles from Birmingham and Lincolnshire – including Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Minichamps and much more.

18 carded diecast TV related models including thirteen Matchbox Gerry Anderson related items – 10 x Matchbox Thunderbirds and 1 x Matchbox Stingray together with two Vivid Imaginations ‘Captain Scarlet’ models, additionally there are four from the Rainbow Toys ‘Dempsey and Makepeace’ range and an FEVA Thunderbird 3 carded model.

A small quantity of toy related books including ‘The Great Book of Corgi’ and ‘Ramsay’s Diecast Catalogue 14th Edition’ together with a varied selection of books, publications and other paper ephemera including a vintage Chipperfield’s Circus Programme, a Will’s Cigarette Card Album containing a quantity of ‘Household Hints’ cards, humorous ‘Hallmark’ posters, 1974 Ercol Furniture Catalogue, two Aircraft Postcards etc.
A whole van-load of vintage and modern fashion dolls and action figures removed from a house in Glasgow – including rare Mego Batman and Robin action figures, plus Sindy, Barbie, Pippa, Sasha, Action Man and more are also up for grabs.

Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine and Overkill for Marvel UK, Babylon 5 Magazine, Star Trek Magazine, and its successor, Star Trek Explorer, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics; and has edited several comic collections and graphic novels, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”, and Hancock: The Lad Himself, by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page.
He’s the writer of comics such as Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs”, with Dave Hailwood.
