Thought Bubble Guests Pre-Festival Signing Tour Dates Announced

With less than two weeks away from the start of this year’s Thought Bubble Festival, the organisers have just announced a signing tour taking place as part of 2015’s Festival, bringing some Thought Bubble guests to a comic shop near you during the Festival week, and after the convention.

Taking place from 9th – 15th November at venues across Leeds and beyond, 2015’s celebration of comics comprises a huge range of events for fans of all ages, and includes free art and writing based workshops for young people & adults, talks & masterclasses lead by industry professionals, a programme of sequential art related film screenings, and a massive two-day comics convention on 14th – 15th November.

With the convention now under 20 days away, don’t forget to check out all the guests and exhibitors who’ll be there, and make sure to get your tickets (although more will be available on the door).

Travelling Man, Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Finalist 2015, has firmly established itself as the place to go in the North of England for all kinds of comics goodness with its awesome vibe and friendly staff.

Working with Thought Bubble since the very beginning, their signings this year are as good as it gets. In York they have Kurtis Wiebe, writer of the incredible Rat Queens, alongside Richard Starkings, author of the epically-cool Elephantmen.

Big Bang Comics is a two time Eisner Nominated Store in Dublin, Ireland and the winner of numerous retail and industry awards. The store’s been responsible for curating and running the Dublin International Comic Expo (D.I.C.E) and constantly runs innovative events, workshops and signings all year round.

Jason Latour is an American comic book artist and writer known for his work for Image, Dark Horse, Marvel and DC comics. He’s probably best known to the contemporary audience for writing Spider-Gwen for Marvel and Southern Bastards, his standout creator-owned series which he draws at Image with Jason Aaron.

Jason is scheduled to sign at Big Bang Comics, Dublin on 11th of November in association with Thought Bubble and Travelling Man.

Orbital Comics, in conjunction with The Big Bang, is proud to sponsor creator Kate Leth (Bravest Warriors, Power Up, Patsy Walker Hellcat) at this year’s Thought Bubble.

As a store with their own team of Valkyries (bewarethevalkyries.com), they say it’s a real pleasure to welcome Head Valkyrie Kate for a series of events ahead of the show. On Wednesday, November 11 from 6pm, they’ll have Kate signing for her fans, then afterwards from 7:30pm they’ll be recording a live episode of our shop podcast Orbital In Conversation with Kate Leth and host Chris Thompson.

After a run of popular guests including Chuck Palahniuk, Skottie Young, Rachael Stott and Mark Buckingham, they’re really excited to have such podcast royalty joining us!

It’s time to earn your badges as Orbital Comics, in conjunction with Thought Bubble Festival, bring the phenomenal Noelle Stevenson (Lumberjanes, Nimona) to the UK for exclusive appearances in London and Leeds.

Like everyone else the team at Orbital were wowed by Noelle’s wondrous vision of how comics could be and wanted to do our part in getting her over. So, on Thursday, November 12 from 5.30pm, Noelle will be signing and greeting fans at Orbital – then from 7.30pm she’ll be hosting one of the famous Orbital Director’s Commentary nights, looking at Lumberjanes Volume 2. The store has had great success with these nights so far; welcoming Jasons Aaron and Latour, Becky Cloonan, Chip Zdarsky and many more to share stories from behind-the-scenes of their work.

Sean Gordon Murphy is an American Comic Book artist and writer best known for his work on the Wake, American Vampire Survival of the Fittest, and his numerous creator owned series Punk Rock Jesus, Chrononauts with Mark Millar and Tokyo Ghost with Rick Remender.

Sean will be signing with Tana Ford in Big Bang Comics, Dublin on Saturday 21st of November in association with Thought Bubble.
