Batmobile Cutaways: Batman Classic TV Series released – complete with die-cast model

Batmobile Cutaways: Batman Classic TV Series Hero Collector has just released a one of a kind custom cutaway book of every vehicle from the original Batman TV series, packaged with a die-cast model of the iconic 1966 Batmobile, written by Richard Jackson, Alan Cowsill and James Hill and illustrated by Ed Giddings and Mojo.

Batmobile Cutaways: Batman Classic TV Series is a 72-page guidebook revealing the secrets of all the vehicles from the classic Batman TV series, featuring original cutaway artwork approved by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.

Illustrations and photos highlight every vehicle from the TV series – the Batmobile, Bat-cycle, Bat-copter, Bat-boat, and more – and cutaway artwork reveals the hidden details and gadgets of the Batmobile such as the Mobile Crime Computer, Bat-Ram, Batphone, afterburner, Detect-A-Scope, rocket launchers and “bat turn” parachutes.

More features include detailed blueprints and schematics from the original design and fabrication which was overseen by master custom car fabricator George Barris. Includes dozens of photos and illustrations from DC Entertainment’s vast archive of over 75 years of Batman comics, film and television adventures.

Batmobile Cutaways: Batman Classic TV Series  also includes a 1/43 scale die-cast metal replica of the classic 1966 Batmobile in a diorama display of the Batcave – the Caped Crusader’s subterranean crime lab.

The first of three Batman Cutaways book and die-cast collectible sets, the series is part of Eaglemoss Hero Collector’s Premier Editions – visual guides and books that delve deep behind the scenes of some of most beloved icons of comic and science fiction fandom.

Alan Cowsill started out as a comic dealer before becoming an award-winning writer and editor. He co-created Stormwatcher for Acme/Eclipse before working at Marvel UK and Panini, writing the first UK-originated Spider-Man strips for more than a decade. He created the bestselling Jackie Chan Adventures, the award-winning Classic Marvel Figurine Collection, and the DC Super Hero Collection for Eaglemoss Publishing.

His books include Colin the Goblin, Warzone: Dark Eden, Chronopia, DC Comics: A Year by Year Visual Chronicle, Marvel Avengers Character Encyclopaedia and Spider-Man Year by Year: A Visual Chronicle.
