Walk the Plank, smite your enemy with the Black Spot or send in a Stowaway in Salty Dogs, a pirate-themed card game, illustrated by Simon Bisley., currently seeking crowdfunding on Kickstarter.
Without further do, we briefly hand over to the pirate captain…
“Does ye love the open seas? Are ye tougher than me old welly boot sandwiches? Well say no more ye scurvy land lubbers! Come join me crew for the best swashbuckling card game of all time SALTY DOGS! Join the kookiest bunch of pirates ever to sail the seven seas. Fun for all the family! Put down your cackle fruit and let the games begin!”
Man your animal pirate crew with such greats as Elon Tusk, Hugh Jackalman, Arnold Barbirdian and Duck Norris. Keep a watchful eye out for illnesses like the Black Spot and Scurvy. Force your enemies to Walk the Plank, take part in a Mutiny or sneak a pesky Stowaway onto your enemies poop deck. Defend your crew with some mouse Earplugs or a Rubber Dinghy and whatever you do, always be in fear of the mighty unstoppable Kraken!
Offering 90 plus lusciously painted action and pirate cards, plus four lavish microfibre play mats, this looks tremendous fun, but because the cats refuse to play with me, I’ve sent out the sample game to the bunch of scurvy rogues running the Games Room at next weekend’s Lakes International Comic Art Festival – and they’ll be back with a review very soon… or they’ll be keel hauled! Har har!
