Just released by comic creator John Farrelly, here’s a tantalising sneak peek at his new project, Long Coat and Leather Jacket, on its way soon…

Quite honestly, John ought to be ashamed of himself. It’s just awful, full of nasty-looking characters committing heinous acts of gratuitous violence. It also looks like there are dinosaurs, zombies (even a zombie horse!) and Vietnam flashbacks in there. Disgusting!
You’d better not watch it, you might be tempted to find out more or something, even make up your own mind rather than listen to my sage advice…
Yes, yes, I am joking! This movie-style trailer for a forthcoming comic is a terrific tease, a project that looks like it was inspired by classic comics of the 1980s like Warrior and 2000AD, and films such as Lethal Weapon, Aliens and Mad Max… what’s not to like?

Featuring time-travelling bounty hunters framed for a crime they did not commit, this high-octane, action-packed comic resurrects (probably, quite literally, the way things look) from an anthology John published some years ago.

John Farrelly is a regular contributor to the Futurequake Press 2000AD-inspired anthology Zarjaz and author of the wonderful recently-released book, Deadly Irish History – The Vikings, reviewed here on downthetubes.
Born and raised in a village just outside Newry, Co. Down, after John dropped out of art college because all he wanted to do was write stories and draw pictures, he became a freelance caricature artist, operating as Captain Wonder Cartoons.
