It’s not long now until the Granite City Comic Con in Aberdeen on Saturday 30th May 2015 which, along with veteran film actor and original Thunderbirds voice artist Shane Rimmer and Star Wars actor Paul Blake, features a number of comic creators: 2000AD‘s Alan Grant and Death Sentence co-creator Monty Nero.
Also at the event will be critically acclaimed artist Gary Erskine, who has worked for all the big companies over his twenty year career in comics, including Warheads at Marvel UK, working on 2000AD, numerous Star Wars books for Dark Horse, and has also worked on Doctor Who, Dan Dare and more. Gary’s self-published Roller Grrrls, which follows the antics of a Roller Derby team on and off the track, has been a critical hit worldwide.
Nick Brokenshire, best known for his work on the IDW title Amelia Cole, originally hails from the Granite City, so the organisers are pleased to have him return to Aberdeen for the event.
Ace comics writer and determined self publisher Jim Alexander will also be there as a guest and based all day at the Planet Jimbot table signing and selling GoodCopBadCop, Wolf Country, Amazing & Fantastic Tales and Amongst the Stars.
