The creative team behind HORROR, an independent horror comics magazine published digitally on Substack, are currently growing in readership very fast and need creators who want to publish their terrifying stories in their magazine.
“We are looking for short black and white comics, between four and ten pages [with] horror content,” they ask in a short appeal.
HORROR was launched two months ago on Substack, a subscription-based project offering “horror comics from the deepest and grimiest on your screen”.
Material published so far includes work by Aces Weekly stalwarts Roberto Corroto and Ertito Montana.
“We are looking for artists of the macabre to fill pages of gory and grisly vignettes. If you are a comic artist, cartoonist or storyteller please contact us.
“The comics cannot contain sexual scenes or sexualised characters,” say the editors. “We know that you are good artists and that it’s not necessary that contain vexatious, sexist, racist or homophobic scenes.
“We are looking forward to your comics and to be scared to death!”
No details on whether this is paid work were included in the appeal, but for more information contact the HORROR team via: yo@77thstreet.shop
