(Updated 26th March): Artist Jon Haward (above, left, with Alan Grant) – whose credits include 2000AD, Eagle, adapting Shakespeare, co-creator of “Tales of the Buddha” and much more – needs our help.
A hugely talented and much-admired comics creator who’s more than happy to take on new work, do workshops, be part of a convention line-up, he urgently needs some assistance to get him past some immediate financial issues that have hit him hard and need addressing as soon as possible.
I’ve known Jon for many years. He’s a hugely talented artist with an incredible back catalogue of work (some samples below), who would be more than happy to work on new projects – but just needs a hand getting over some financial difficulties.
I’ve set up this JustGiving page to raise £1000 on his behalf which I hope you can support or share. If you can donate anything to help him over a hurdle that’s none of his making, please give him your support so he can get back to doing what he does best – drawing comics. Thank you.
UPDATE 26/3/16: The comics community and others have rallied to Jon’s support, donating both privately and publicly to help him. Together, we raised over £2000 in the first 24 hours of this campaign, and there have been offers of help in other, practical ways. Donations are still welcome but all of Jon’s many friends have done a wonderful thing. Thank you.
• Please help Jon: donate here on JustGiving (or simply share the page – it all helps)
