All things spooky and creepy crawl out for Halloween and this month’s art raffle from artist Graeme Neil Reid features two nasty hags riddled with evil and murderous intent!
Graeme is a Scottish artist who now works primarily in traditional mediums of watercolour and acrylic. His work has graced many different areas including books (The Dangerous Book of Heroes), television (World’s Strongest Man), gaming (Need for Speed), magazines (Radio Times), comics (2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine), online and apps (Doctor Who).

On offer this month – The transformation of the Evil Queen in the 1937 Walt Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarves into a hunchbacked old crone couldn’t have visualised a more classic interpretation of a witch. Her warty pointed nose, gap toothed sneer and boney fingers made her someone you really shouldn’t take an apple from if offered.

She only has one thing on her mind and that’s to eat you all up! The delightfully terrifying Meg Mucklebones appeared in the 1985 Ridley Scott film Legend and only her vanity and a well placed compliment would stop her from stripping the meat from off your bones.
You can watch Graeme create this painting on his YouTube Channel.
Both watercolour paintings were painted on Arches Cold Pressed 300gsm watercolour paper at A6 (15cm x 10.5cm) size.
Entering couldn’t be easier, by pledging just $1 a month on Graeme’s Patreon site you get entered into the Art Raffle plus rewards including Work in Progress posts, Art Club with first chance to buy his art, postcards, PDF sketchbook, supporters portraits and a discount at his Etsy Store.
The competition will run until midnight (GMT) of the 31st October 2017, and the winner will be notified shortly afterwards. The winner will get to choose one of the two paintings as their prize and the other painting will be available to buy, first to Graeme’s Patreon supporters with an added discount and then in his Esty shop.
