Babylon 5 creator and Academy-Award-nominated author J. Michael Straczynski will be at GOSH London tomorrow (8th January) signing and chatting to fans from 5.00 – 7.00pm.
Famously known in comics for his superb and successful run on the Amazing Spider-Man, he’s just as famously known outside of comics for being a creator and showrunner for cult-TV Show Babylon 5 (and for tons of other stuff like being nominated for a good ol’ prestigious BAFTA for his screenplay for the Clint Eastwood-directed Changeling).
Back in the world of comics, he’s responsible for the acclaimed Superman: Earth One, a run on Wonder Woman, the Dr. Manhattan and Nite Owl parts of controversial prequel Before Watchmen, and a run of The Brave And The Bold (famously including tear-jerker issue 33, “Ladies Night”).
Currently, he’s writing Ten Grand and Sidekick for Image, under the imprint “Joe’s Comics” (revived from its previous tenure at Top Cow).
Straczynski will be signing in-store on Wednesday, the 8th of January, from 5pm to 7pm. We reckon there will be queues, so get there in good time! Alternatively, if you can’t make it, email the shop for reservations and requests at info@goshlondon.com.
