Hullo John. Just to say thank you for pointing me in the direction of the Ben Day dots articles. They are very comprehensive and, as I expect you know, cover the whole history of printing images. I have learned a lot from them. They also took me back to my art classes at school in the 1950s, when we did lino cuts using gouges (curved chisels) of varying sizes to produce different size lines. All very crude in comparison to the work illustrated in the articles. Thanks again.
Glad to have been of service, sir!
