Immediate Media, publishers of Doctor Who Adventures and other BBC-related titles, has snagged the rights to publish magazines based on the pre-school TV series Mister Maker – while Signature Publishing has acquired rights to the Nick Jr and Channel 5-screened adventure Tickety Toc.

Both shows are produced by Zodiak Rights – who also make Horrid Henry and Waybuloo – and both new titles will  go on sale next year.

KidScreen reports the Mister Maker magazine, based on the series that airs on CBeebies, will launch in June 2014, and each monthly issue will be filled with art projects as well as a free art kit.

Set in a magical studio made of oversized arts and crafts materials, Mister Maker combines live action, graphics and a variety of animation techniques to bring the world of art to life in a modern, fresh and ground-breaking way.

Mister Maker himself – played by Phil Gallagher – is an engaging character who acts as a catalyst for all the big ideas and brilliant arty techniques within the show and encourages the audience to have a go themselves. And with the help of a magic table-top and his doodledrawers, he shows just how it’s done.

Signature Publishing will be launching its Tickety Toc magazine in summer 2014, and the new the preschool title will include stories, games, colouring activities and posters as well as a free gift with every issue.

Tickety Toc is the Number One daytime show on Nick Jr among children 2-11 during weekdays and currently airs on Nick Jr UK and on Channel 5′s Milkshake.

Inside an old clock shop is wall full of clocks. Big clocks, little clocks, silly clocks and sensible clocks. All of them ticking away to themselves and keeping perfect time. And right in the middle is one very special clock. This is the Tickety Toc Clock. As every hour passes, the Tic Toc Clock springs into life to chime in the time. It all happens as regular as clockwork!

But chiming the time isn’t as easy as it seems! For behind the face of the Tickety Toc Clock lies an extraordinary wooden world where things definitely don’t always run so smoothly. This slapstick show centres on two inseparable heroes, Tommy and Tallulah, and their remarkable friends as they race against time to keep the clock ticking. The pressure is always on – and every madcap minute counts!

The Tickety Toc magazine will also be available in digital format and will be featured in Signature Publishing’s compilation magazine, Fantastic Funworld and Rainbow Fun.
