Anderson Entertainment‘s Fireball XL5 Technical Operations Manual launches this Friday, written by Space City’s brightest boffins (and resident World Space Patrol experts) Andrew Clements and Chris Thompson.
Set in the year 2062, the early Supermarionation series from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson followed the missions of Earth spaceship Fireball XL5, commanded by Colonel Steve Zodiac of the World Space Patrol (WSP). First broadcast between 28th October 1962 and 27th October 1963, the series ran for 39 black and white episodes, spinning off into comic strip, in TV Comic and TV Century 21, books and other merchandise – but until now, it never had a Technical Manual.
This lavishly illustrated, full colour hardcover book contains all the technical data fans have been longing to know about XL5, Space City, the alien spacecraft faced by our heroes, the World Space Patrol fleet, and much, much more.
This book goes up for pre-order Friday 2nd Feburary, including a Special Edition packed to the Aquaphibian gills with extra goodness like a cosplay-approved WSP patch, a set of art prints, WSP ID card, and even the audio adventure “Cloud of A Billion Lights”, on Mini Album CD.
If you to be one of the very first to get your hands on this beautiful set, then sign up to our early bird list to be first in line when the manual goes up for Pre-Order.
To celebrate the AE team are also hosting a live stream on Friday evening, if you want to take a closer look at all the action.
