The National Space Centre in Leicester, the UK’s largest attraction dedicated to space, is inviting Steampunks, Steam-curious and everybody above ground (or below it) to celebrate with Steampunks in Space, a steam powered history of science fiction, thanks to Jules Verne and H G Wells.
Taking place 25th – 26th November 2023, on offer is a weekend celebration of Steampunk Talks, workshops and activities for all the family, inspired by authors such as Jules Verne, H G Wells and many more.
The event offers a weekend of fun, games, workshops, exhibitions, dinosaurs, costumes and cake!
Join Professor Otto Lidenbrock for a journey like no other, to the Centre of the Earth – plus there are several authors and artists at the event, too, including comic creators, artists and authors, too.

Plus meet members of Rebel Steam, an active online and in-person Steampunk group with a love of all things Star Wars; steampop diva and costume designer/maker extraordinaire Alice Strange; Lady Beatrice Brackarvonich with a presentation “Journey to the End of the Garden”; choose Your Own Adventure with the Martian Expeditionary Force; Gregg from Darkbox images will be introducing us to the wonderful world of volcano photography, thanks to Tempest Anderson and friends; and there’s much, much more.
