If you fancy yourself as a post-apocalyptic art warrior, now is your chance to impress the creative team of Titan Comics title Sally of the Wasteland.
To celebrate the hit collection of grind-house by Victor Gischler (X-Men, Punisher Max, Angel & Faith) and Tazio Bettin, Titan Comics are running an art competition for a chance to win an original piece of Sally of the Wasteland artwork by series artist Tazio Bettin.
Sally Of The Wasteland follows the Grind-house Glamor Girl of post-Apocalyptic Louisiana as she battles her way through mutant monsters, crawgators and cannibal pirates in a crazed monsoon of madness!
To enter, artists must send in a piece of art that reflects post-apocalyptic world of Sally Of The Wasteland, and inspired by the tone of the series and its characters. Produce a piece of Sally Of The Wasteland-inspired artwork measuring 170 mm X 258 mm, 300 DPI, and submit to titancomicsentry@titanemail.com by 21st May 2015 for your chance to win.
The top three entries will be judged by the Titan editorial team, and will receive the following:
- First Prize – Original artwork featuring a Sally of the Wasteland character by Tazio Bettin
- Two runners-up – Sally of the Wasteland hardcover signed by the creative team

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
