David Hathaway-Price, publisher and editor of the not-for-profit FANSCENE, is gearing up to publish a Batman-focused issue of his terrific zine. It will hopefully before the end of this year, but “being realistic”, he says, probably by the end of January 2020.
“I’m looking for the usual mix of articles and artwork, but especially interested this time in celebrating 80 years of Batman, so would love any contributions relating to the Dark Knight Detective,” he asks. “From the origins of the character, perhaps something on Bob Kane or Bill Finger or the various different creator teams…
“Maybe the series and films (has the best portrayal really been by a Brit?)… Batman as a loner or part of a team… the wide ranging supporting cast… the scope is endless.
“No payment I’m afraid, as it’s a non-profit-making / free publication, but if you have the inclination and some time to spare, I’d love to hear from you.”
• The deadline is 20th December 2019, and David can be reached by sending an email to: david.price@post.com
• You can find links to download the previous four issues of FANSCENE on the front page of his amazing Fanzine archive site
