Having worked on a number of projects including The X-Files (Topps Comics), Savage (2000AD) and Curse of the Wendigo (Soleil Productions), Charlie Adlard is perhaps best known for his work on Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead (Image Comics). Adlard started working on The Walking Dead in issue 7 and has been resident artist since.

Similarly, Sean has worked on numerous comics including Wildstorm’s WildC.A.T.s and Sleeper, Marvel Zombies (Marvel Comics) and 7 Psychopaths (Boom! Studios) but is perhaps best known for his frequent collaborations with writer Ed Brubaker on renowned titles such as Icon’s Incognito and Criminal and Image Comics’ Fatale. He’s also one of the team behind the fast-approaching Lakes International Comic Art Festival next month.

“Along with fellow Wicked Comics members Chris Muscat and Fabio Agius, I first met Charlie Adlard during Bristol Comic Expo 2008,” says Chris Le Galle, co-founder of Wicked Comics. “I remember us chatting about the possibility of holding the first ever comic convention in Malta and the chances of The Walking Dead being picked up for a TV series.

“Five years later and not only has Season 4 of The Walking Dead TV series been confirmed, but we’re proud to finally confirm Charlie and Sean as guests to the fifth Malta Comic Con. Consequently, we cannot but take this opportunity to thank them for accepting our invitation and for the continuous support both creators have shown us.”
