Awesome Comics Podcast polls comic fans on convention going in a Pandemic

Awesome Comics Podcast Survey - Conventions: A Small Matter of COVID (2021)

The long-running Awesome Comics Podcast dedicated to promoting small press comics and more is currently running a poll – Conventions: A Small Matter of COVID – to gauge people’s feeling regarding comic-cons and the ongoing pandemic.

You can have your say here. The poll asks comic fans how happy or confident they are about attending or tabling at a comic-con within the next six months, whether documentation of being doubled jabbed should be necessary to gain entry to an event, and, given the upcoming major events are coming up – Meanwhile..., in Coventry, the Lakes International Comic Art Festival, in Kendal, and Thought Bubble, in Harrogate, among them – do you think holding a comic-con in the next six months is ill-considered/reckless?

The results of the poll will be discussed during the next episode (Episode 325), and comics writer, publisher and blogger Tony Esmond also will be reporting on the free Meanwhile... con taking place in Coventry – a weekend-long festival of storytelling, illustration and comic books.
