Two years in the making, the Daleks’ Master Plan serialised comic strip on the Kasterborous web site proved incredibly popular during the summer months, as a free 50th anniversary gift.
Editor, illustrator and storyboard artist Rick Lundeen did a superb job of realising Terry Nation and Dennis Spooner’s long-lost (as far as we know!) epic serial in comic book form, and the reaction from the vast majority of readers who downloaded the PDFs of each episode was: “when can we get it in print?”
The answer, we hope, is very soon.
With the opportunity to raise over £2500 for Children In Need 2013, Kasterborous has opened pre-orders for Rick Lundeen’s Daleks’ Master Plan comic strip adaptation, a retelling of the original serial in full colour.
The cover price of £19.99 (plus shipping) will deliver to your 168 pages of Dalek malevolence, Mavic Chen madness and the First Doctor at his very best.
• 2019 Update: Sadly, this charity project foundered due to as yet unresolved copyright issues, so we have removed the Kasterborous links – but there is a “Making of” feature by Rick here you can enjoy

The link for the comic doesn’t work, it just says 404 error…
Sadly, the project ran into as yet unresolved copyright issues, although it’s still hoped that can be resolved with the Terry Nation estate
