Biomekazoik Press, the British independent comics publisher behind the digital comics anthology 100% Biodegradable, are working on a brand new quarterly comic anthology for younger readers, Hotchpotch, launching from before the end of the year.
Edited by David Hailwood, Hotchpotch is a full colour 40 page children’s comic anthology aimed at 8-12 year olds.
“Once more into the editorial breach I go… glory or insanity awaits!” David enthuses (we think). “Hotchpotch less violent and sweary than 100% Biodegradable, but just as much fun!
“There’s a wealth of talented creators involved in the comic,” he continues, “including Tony Suleri, Simon Mackie, Paul Harrison Davies, Piotr Nowacki and many more.
The first issue’s cover is illustrated by the ever awesome Brett Burbridge, and based on the ongoing Navel Navigators comic series which begins inside (which, in turn, is based on the Amazon No 1 Best Selling Navel Navigators novel by Dave).
Hotchpotch will be available in both digital and print format on Amazon, and in various other digital stores.Dave’s latest comic, Eat Me and Friends, is out now on Amazon, and collects almost a hundred darkly humorous comic strips from four distinctive series, two of which were finalists in the ROK Comics Humour competition back in 2008, as judged by the then editor of the Beano.
