Here’s a bit of comics-related fun from a recent edition of FHM magazine (not that we here at downthetubes read such things, cough, cough). To illustrate a piece about common men’s problems (cancer, bereavement, being dumped by a woman etc), the magazine used mock-up covers of an imaginary publication called Survivor!. You don’t have to look too closely to see which comic they’ve modelled Survivor! on! It’s quite a compliment that a mainstream mag like FHM considers Commando recognisable enough to base their made-up magazine on. Commando lives on in the collective consciousness! Hurrah!
